Maui/Moloka’i Testimony Re: HAR 11-157


Maui and Moloka’i residents testified at the Hawai’i State Department of Health’s hearing today on the DOH-proposed rule changes to Hawai’i Administrative Rules (HAR) 11-157, which would result in additional vaccines being added to the eligibility requirements for Hawai’i’s school and day care facility attendees. Additional reporting requirements and 7th grade physical exam requirements are included in the proposed changes, as well.

Approximately 15-20 attendees did not have an opportunity to speak, due to lack of time. Several people expressed their displeasure with the timing of this hearing, from 2-4pm–when parents have to pick up children from school. Please share such concerns with the Department of Health:
